mtc-phy 2019

Hello everyone, especially maths and physics students from jovens Entebbe

I understand this temporary break was unprepared for, but preserving life is the best option, others can follow as long as you are alive. You just need to stay focused, utilize the time you have effectively, above all…REMEMBER YOUR CREATOR

I have created this temporary blog site to supplement on the communication lines we are using so far, that is SMS and Watsapp. Here, i will mainly post useful links to sites and youtube videos that can help you stay up to date and also read ahead

if i forget your name, just pardon me…

OKAY, LETS GET STARTED, I request that to ease our work when school resumes again, by God’s grace, let us revise the following subtopics in addition to your personal reading plan.

Mathematics PAPER 1
In the mean time, try to read circles, the concepts are not hard to master, you only need knowledge of differentiation and simple algebra
  1. Equation(s) of a circle
  2. How to identify the center and radius of a circle given its equation (in any format)
  3. Forming the equation of a circle given a few parameters
  4. Intersection of two circles, how to find the coordinates of the point(s) of intersection
  5. orthogonal circles
  6. Tangents and normal to a circle at a given point, how to find the equation of the tangent and normal to a circle.

Topics to be covered when we resume:

  1. Further Integration
  2. Differential equations
  3. Vectors
  4. Conic sections
Be sure to master the content you have so far and also try to revise the subtopics of circles i have given, DONT FORGET TO REVISE THE OTHER PAPER, it is useless to pass only one paper.

    PHYSICS PAPER 2

For physics 2, urgent emphasis is needed in ELECTROMAGNETIC INDUCTION and OPTICS, so that we have more than just enough for the exams. i will provide links and also send notes on the watsapp group for these. for derivations that you can understand, go ahead and read them but mainly also concentrate on experiments and operation of some devices,

    Electromagnetic Induction

  1. Magnetic flux, its symbol and how to calculate the flux through a surface
  2. Faraday and lenz’s law
  3. Experiments to prove Faraday and Lenz’s law
  4. mutual and self induction
  5. Transformer and associated caculations
  6. electric motor
  7. Electric generator: Both AC and DC generators
  8. Homopolar or disc generator and absolute measurement of resistance
